This week-long Annapurna Villages trek to the view point on Poon Hill offers all the best of trekking in Nepal including accommodation in comfortable family run trekkers' lodges along the way. Enjoy trekking in the spectacular mountain scenery through charming villages inhabitation by the Gurungs, dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurna’s with the picturesque fluted peak of Machapuchare (Fish Tail Peak) dominating the skyline. At the climax of this trek you will climb Poon Hill at dawn to enjoy one of the most spectacular mountains capes on Earth. As the sun touches the snowcapped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m and Annapurna (8,091m/along with a maze of other peaks, slowly begin to appear, like magic, before our eyes. A rewarding trek that can be enjoyed of nature and beautiful landscape.

The Ghorepani trek is a colourful short foray into the Annapurna region. The trail winds through patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests and past icy waterfalls where you can stop to cool your face. Around every corner is a tantalizing glimpse of the high mountains, whole horizons of which will be revealed to you as you reach the high points of your trek.

 

 

  • Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuban international airport and transport to hetel
  • Day 02: Sightseeing at Kathmandu valley, overnight at hotel.
    Today, we visit world heritage site in Kathmandu including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath (temple of Shiva), Boudhnath and Swoyambhunath.
  • Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara.
    Six hours scenic drive by tourist bus through Prithvi highway. Overnight at hotel
  • Day 04: Drive to Naya Pool and start trek to Hile/Tilhekhunga
    We begins our trek at Naya Pool, 45m drive from Pokhara. After 20-minutes walk along the Modi river, we arrive at Birethanti - beautiful village that has plenty of teashops and guesthouses. We then follow the left route through the village. Our trek will continue heading to Hile or Tikhedhunga
  • Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2850m.)
    Today our trek leading us to the Ghorepani, one of the popular destinations of Annapurna region situated at an altitude of 2850m. Our trek gently ascends up to Banthanti (2250meters) through Oak & rhododendron forest. We then continuou trek towards to Ghorepani through Nangeythanti (2460meteres). Today we walk normally 6 hours all the way up to Ghorepani.
  • Day 06: Trek to Tadapani (2625m.)
    Climb up to Poon Hill (3210m.) Early i morning around five o’clockto see the panoramic views of Dhaulagiri Annapurna, Lamjung Himalayan ranges as well as sunrise over the tolerable Himalayas. Having its great views of Himalayan panorama from Poon Hill descends to Ghorepani and continuous trek to Tadapani (2625m.) after having breakfast. We will trek towards Tadapani along the ridges of rhododendron and pine forest.
  • Day 7: Trek to Ghandruk (2012m.) is inhabitant by Gurung community. This is short day trekking but prefer to go Gurung Museum and back to teahouse enjoy viewing Fishtail and Annapurna.
  • Day 8: Ghandruk to Nayapul to Pokhara
  • Day 9: sight seen in Pokhara
  • Day 10: free day in Kathmandu
  • Day 11: Departure day

  • Airport pickup and drop by car/van and bus.
  • Welcome dinner or last farewell dinner in kathmandu.
