Ram Bahadur Shrestha

Managing Director

 

Ram Bahadur Shrestha has been Managing Director of Himalayan Excursion club treks and tour since the company was established in 2005. Prior to this Ram and several friends started working together to lead treks, and this group of friends formed the basis of what is now Himalayan Excursion club treks and tour.

 

Ram was born in the Himalayan village of Dhading jyamrung in Ganesh himal region, and to this day maintains a deep connection with the Himalaya Mountain. When he decided on a career in tourism Ram was drawn back to the mountains of his early childhood, and here he began his intensive explorations of Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan. Ram has led treks for over fourteen years now, and even when he is not guiding guests on Himalayan adventures he often explores the outer reaches of the Himalayas to learn more about bird watching and Himalayan nature photography.

 

Ram also contributes his time, efforts and financial support for social work in Nepal. In 2004 he helped build the Jyamrung Community Library in Jyamrung where students, local farmers and the business community of Jyamrung have access to over 2000 books. He also focuses his efforts on education.

 

When he is not out on a trek Ram personally welcomes each guest and sees to the details of their ‘Journey of a Lifetime’. Over the years he has gathered a kind, capable and experienced staff who work in close co-operation in handling every aspect of the business. He is still studying Master degree in the sociology .

Vickie Lee is Representative of Himalayan Excursion club treks and tour (P) Ltd in Australia She was born in donnybrook currently lives in western Australia Perth . She has been a diplomatic nurse she is working at the hospital. She is travelling and challenging new things.

 

Having seen the professional approach, loyal and caring services provided by Himalayan Excursion club treks and tour (P) Ltd and her great interest in Kailash Mansarovar she now helps all the yatris from Australia with their enquiries. She likes travelling, exploring new places and to be with the nature, away from materialised things. So far she has travelled to many different places.
