Tibet - Lhasa is one of the world's most extraordinary destination and there is adventure indeed lurking around almost each and every corner. Lhasa The capital lies high in the arid wilderness of the Tibetan mountains, it's name the "Roof of the World" is no idle statement. The valley bottoms of Tibet are higher than the highest mountains elsewhere . It's snow covered plateaux are the highest in the world , and apart from the Everest , which Tibetans see from 'the other side', many mountains are over 15000 feet.

 

There will be 3 flights in week usually from May to September i.e. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and possible to have a 2 days to weeks trip based on two-way flight. The program below is just a model one and possible as per your interest, time and budget.

 

  • DAY 01: KATHMANDU-ZANGMU / NEYALAM (3600M)-150 KM
    Departure at 0530 hrs from The infront of Sanjayakosh building in Thamel. Approx. 05 hours drive to Kodari (China/Nepal boarder), Half an hour drive to Zhangmu, where after completion of immigration formalities we drive further to Neylam following BhoteKoshi river in a deep valley with some overflowing waterfalls. Overnight in guesthouse.
  • DAY 02: NEYLAM- TINGRI / LHATSE (4050M)-285 KMS,
    Drive through Neyalam Pass (3800m) with the view of Jugal Himal. A continued drive via Lalungla Pass (5050m ) has some of the outstanding view of Mt. Xixapangma (8013m highest in Tibet) Mt. Makalu (8464m), Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8201m) and Mt.Everest (8848m). Overnight in guesthouse.
  • DAY 03: LHATSE-XIGATSE (3900M)-90 KMS,
    Drive to Xigatse, the place of the famous Tashilumpo Monastery and the seat of Panchen Lama. Overnight at Hotel Samdrupse or similar standard.
  • DAY 04: XIGATSE-GYANTSE (3950M)-90KMS,
    After visiting TashiLumpo Monastery in the morning including the Bazaar of Xigatse. Drive to Gyantse, which is 02 hrs. Gyantse is small busting town steeped in history. It lies 264 kms. Southwest of Lhasa on the northern bank of Nyang Chu river. In the 15th century it served as the capital of a small Kingdom. Visit Kumbum Chorten which was built around 1400 AD. It later became the main center for trade with British India. Overnight in Hotel.
  • DAY 05: GYANTSE-LHASA (3650M)-261 KMS,
    08-hrs drive takes you to Lhasa crossing the Karo La Pass (5010m) and Kambala Pass (4794m). The Karo La climbs between two lofty mountains, Nozing Khang Sa (7223m) and Ralung (6236). While driving you will see the Yamdrok Tso (Turquoise Lake) which takes approx. 1 hour to cross around. After passing Kamba La, Lhasa valley is seen to the north. You will also cross the Brahmaputra River.
  • Reaching Lhasa and check into hotel. The accompanied guide will reconfirm your onward airline ticket. Overnight in hotel.
  • DAY 06 & 07: IN LHASA,
    These days you will be engrossed with sightseeing and excursions of the Potala Palace, the Jokhang temple, surrounding Barkhor market, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. Overnight in hotel.
  • DAY 08: LHASA-KATHMANDU,
    In the morning after breakfast, transfer to airport 02 hrs. Drive-Representative will assist you. Departure of flight for Kathmandu would be approx. 10.00hrs, China Standard Time and arriving Kathmandu at 09.00 hrs. Nepal Standard time. Flight Lhasa/Kathmandu lasts for 01 hour's ten minutes. During the flight you will see the following: Yarlung Tsangpo river, Lake Yamdrok, Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m) and Mt. Makalu (8463m) and Mt. Everest (8848m). Weather permitting).

Cost Include

  • All transfer by Jeep and Truck inside Tibet and Van/ Mini Bus/ Bus in Nepal
  • Guide with tibet / travel /Mt. Kailash permits & Monastery entrance fees
  • Yak and Yakmen / porters for trekking.
  • Twin share tented accommodation with three times meals a day while at camp
  • Camping/ cooking equipments with our Staff support from Nepal during the trek.
  • Twin share accommodation with breakfast only while in a hotels.
  • Applicable air tickets, liason officer and permit fee.

Cost Exclude

  • Lunch, Dinner and beverages while staying in a hotel.
  • Medical expenses, rescue operation, insurance and Evacuation, incase of need.
  • Charges in the monastery & Re-entry visa fee for Nepal.
  • Any other cost arisen during the trip, not mentioned in the "Cost Include" section.
  • China Visa fee and re- entry visa fee to Nepal.
